ContinuityX to Add Nodes in Cologix Data Centers to Boost North American Presence

As businesses become more reliant on digital technology, they will need physical or virtual business continuity solutions. If the IT infrastructure in a company is destroyed because of a natural disaster, fire, water damage or an attack by cyber-criminals, there has to be a recovery system in place to keep the business running.

Data centers around the world are collaborating to increase their response time and make recoveries as soon as possible for their clients.

ContinuityX and Cologix are continuing their collaboration by adding the Minneapolis and Toronto nodes on top of their previous arrangement earlier this year in Dallas and Toronto.

Companies with mission-critical applications such as hospitals, financial services and media organizations that rely on 100 percent uptime depend on colocation service providers to ensure they will be operating no matter what happens.

Latency times dictate the effectiveness of these companies, and a delay of one second can be the difference between losing and gaining a client.

ContinuityX consults businesses and manages their needs for continuity if and when a system fails. It provides virtual and cloud hosting, storage, monitoring as well as communications for VoIP and voice needs. It also offers IT infrastructure services with a data center, converged public and private cloud networks services, system integration, cross connects, migration and reengineering.

The company has data centers in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Toronto.

Cologix has a unique footprint that includes markets where networks like ours are going next. The ease of doing business with Cologix made the decision to expand our relationship a simple one. Our deployments to Minneapolis and Montreal will expand our business reach and improve the delivery performance of our cloud services,” said David Godwin, CEO at ContinuityX.

With a network neutral interconnection and colocation, Cologix can provide a scalable solution that is secure and reliable in densely connected areas. The company has more than 300 network choices for its 550 customers in different industries including media, financial services and enterprise customers.

It has data centers in Dallas, Minneapolis, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

“We are delighted that ContinuityX has chosen to grow their business with Cologix. The growth ContinuityX has seen is a testament to their ability to meet customer application and infrastructure needs. We look forward to continuing to build a strong partnership with the ContinuityX team and to supporting their growth in the years to come,” said Grant van Rooyen, CEO, Cologix.
