NBN a must in digital age

Feb 21, 2013 (BRW - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The start of the digital economy can be traced to 2007, when broadband emerged in Australia and the internet became more widely used. Faster broadband will pave the way for the second phase of the digital economy, in which data transmission and storage is likely to be transformed by cloud computing. Given that almost half of Australia's wealth creation will require faster, increased data transmission and interchange, the national broadband network is not as costly as some detractors claim.
