Oracle Applications Users Group Hosts OAUG Connection Point® - Release 12.1/Fusion Applications Conference

ATLANTA --(Business Wire)--

The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world's largest user knowledgebase for Oracle (News - Alert)® Applications users, co-hosts the OAUG Connection Point® - Release 12.1/Fusion Applications conference, in partnership with the South Texas Oracle Applications Users Group (STOAUG) and the OAUG Upgrade SIG, July 11-12 at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown in Austin, Texas. The call for presentations is now open through May 10.

This two-day regional event offers low-cost, high-impact educational and networking opportunities designed to help Oracle users gain up-to-date insight on two of Oracle's newest applications products: the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 an Oracle Fusion Applications. The conference features educational sessions exploring topics such as how to find and deal with customizations; functional and technical testing; new features for both the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 and the Oracle 11gR2 database; training recommendations; and the latest news from Oracle regarding Oracle Fusion Applications.

Attendees have the opportunity to hear case studies and attend panels by companies who are on Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 to discover what they have learned about project management; Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 application and database tuning; security; and optimizing the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 upgrade process. Oracle ACE Directors and customers who are actively involved in Oracle Fusion Applications implementations will provide recommendations on how to adopt Fusion Applications to enhance an existing ERP strategy.

"With Oracle's Fusion Applications being made generally available last fall, users are encouraged to learn as much as they possibly can about how to adequately prepare for the many functional and technical challenges along the way," said Mark Clark, president of the OAUG. "This highly informative conference offers attendees thoughtful tips and best practices from implementers and experts who are actively involved in Oracle Fusion Applications implementations."

Future Connection Point® conferences available later in the year are OAUG Connection Point® - EPM/BI on Nov. 5-6 at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Fla. and OAUG Connection Point® - Release 12.2/Fusion Applications on Nov. 15-16 at the Hilton San Diego Bay Front in San Diego, Calif.
