BRIEF: Fresno man held in blowup over cable TV
Jul 01, 2009 (The Fresno Bee - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A 54-year-old Fresno man was booked in connection with cruelty to his mother, battery on a police officer and other charges in an altercation that began when the family's cable television malfunctioned, police said.
Police went at 6 p.m. Tuesday to Paul and Willow avenues in northeast Fresno, where a woman reported she had been attacked by her son, Sgt. Chris Desmond said.
While officers were there, the son kicked a fence, causing it to strike an officer on the head, Desmond said.
The son was subdued by an electronic stun device and taken to Fresno County Jail.
