Alentus Corporation Acquires AO Technologies' Columbus Ohio Data Center

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Alentus Corporation, the leading provider of web hosting and managed services, is pleased to announce it has agreed to acquire the data center and managed services clients of Ohio-based AO Technologies, LLC.


Founded in 1996, AO Technologies' has focused on high-end managed infrastructure services, co-location and connectivity solutions to a host of SMB and Enterprise clients. AO Technologies owns and operates a tier-1 state-of-the-art data center in downtown Columbus, Ohio, as well as a redundant 100% Cisco-powered IP network.

The existing network and facility will be integrated into Alentus' new extensive international, high availability network that connects directly to multiple redundant internet backbones within Canada and the United States. Half of AO Technologies staff will transfer with the acquisition.

The facility has been engineered for 100% uptime, with redundant AC and DC power, Liebert HVAC and UPS systems, advanced fire suppression systems, and redundant fiber connectivity to over 20 National and International telecommunications carriers. The facility is protected by multiple layers of security, including CCTV, 24/7/365 security officers and card access authentication.

Following the acquisition, AO Technologies, LLC will refocus on internet streaming media services as a co-location and connectivity client of Alentus Corporation. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
