Local Mobile Companies Join 'Fight Club-Style' Event at MobileMonday Toronto

(Marketwire (English) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 19, 2007) - The first of an annual demo camp will be held at MobileMonday Toronto on December 3rd next month. Called 'MoMoCamp' (www.momocamp.com), the event will become an ongoing event to showcase local Toronto-based mobile companies in an effort to raise their profile and business prospects. The event will be styled after the famous movie Fight Club with 5 selected companies each given 5 minutes to talk about their company and demonstrate their software, applications or services. At the end of the demonstration period, attendees will vote for the winner of MoMoCamp. "We hope this will become an annual event for local companies to share their expertise and knowledge. If an event like this can lead to successful funding, partnering or sales for companies, this is well worth the effort," said Jim Brown and Alexander S. Bosika, co-founders of the Toronto chapter.

For this special event MobileMonday Toronto has selected a different venue to provide additional capacity and to better support the Fight Club theme. MoMoCamp will be held at Dunedain Multimedia, located at 110 Spadina Avenue, Suite 700, starting at 6:30pm (Google Maps: http://tinyurl.com/3yngec). In addition, music will be provided by Sanderson Dear from Stasis Recordings (www.stasisrecordings.com). A special MoMoCamp "bootleg mix" (http://stasisrecordings.com/Site/Momocamp.html) will be distributed to attendees in a limited edition run.
