Twentieth Century Fox and Glu Mobile Launch In Her Shoes: High Heels MahJong; Glu Adds Arcade Action and Female Flair in a New Game That Is Good for the Sole

SAN MATEO, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 26, 2005 -- Twentieth Century Fox, one of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures, and Glu Mobile, Inc. (formerly Sorrent, Inc. and Macrospace Ltd.), a leading creator and global publisher of mobile entertainment, today announced the launch of High Heels MahJong, an innovative take on traditional MahJong based on the film, "In Her Shoes," starring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette and Shirley MacLaine. Twentieth Century Fox will release "In Her Shoes" on October 7, 2005.

"High Heels MahJong is the creative result of combining a very popular puzzle game with a passion that many women share, shoe shopping," said Jill Braff, general manager of North America and senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Glu Mobile. "The game captures the engaging nature of a traditional MahJong puzzler and adds completely new arcade gameplay and an element just for women, who are the focus of the October release of 'In Her Shoes.'"

"In Her Shoes" is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Curtis Hanson ("L.A. Confidential") from a screenplay by Oscar-nominee Susannah Grant ("Erin Brockovich"). Alternately hilarious and heart-rending, the film is about two sisters with nothing in common but size 8 1/2 feet. After a calamitous falling out, they travel the bumpy road toward a true appreciation for one another -- aided along the way by the grandmother they never knew they had.

With the best of traditional MahJong gameplay combined with fresh mobile arcade features, High Heels MahJong offers two modes of play -- Shopping Marathon, featuring eight boutiques, each with five levels of play for a total of 40 unique game boards; or Shopping Spree, a challenge to collect as many pairs of shoes as possible in 10 minutes. Bonus tiles that stop the clock, show all available matches and remove tiles give High Heels MahJong compelling arcade elements that will keep players coming back for more.

The launch of High Heels MahJong is part of an exclusive two-year worldwide partnership between Glu and Twentieth Century Fox. Through the partnership, Glu has published games and mobile content suites for the movies "Robots," "Kingdom of Heaven," and "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" released earlier this year, and will develop and publish creative content for several upcoming Fox films including "Ice Age 2: The Meltdown."
