WCTbid Changes Name to Freeflow and Expands Operations to Hong Kong; New Name Underscores Company's Commitment to Customer's Process, Profit and Inventory Flow
FREMONT, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Dec. 5, 2005 -- WCTbid, a provider of hosted, lifecycle inventory asset management solutions, today announced it will change its name to Freeflow. The new name underscores the company's focus on the transformation of their customers' inventory management processes and inventory flow with Freeflow's respected inventory asset management solutions. Freeflow also announced that it will be expanding its operations with the opening of its new offices in Hong Kong in February of 2006. The expansion into Asia, given the company's current locations in Europe and the United States, will give Freeflow a presence in all three geographies and will enhance the service provided by Freeflow to clients with a global supply chain.
"Our name change from WCTbid to Freeflow better reflects the strength of our solution and our commitment to precise processes that identify at-risk inventory and keep it moving through the sales channels. With Freeflow, our customers can maximize product profitability by proactively addressing excess inventory and bringing it to market without letting it sit idle in stockrooms where it loses value with each passing day," stated Alan Scroope, Freeflow's founder and CEO. "We're also pleased to expand our operations into Asia. With a majority of our customers having global operations, this move will enable us to better support our customers' requirements."
Freeflow's inventory asset management solutions combine a web-based auction platform that addresses asset management challenges with liquidation of excess inventories in the late stages of product life cycles. Freeflow's operational sites, FreeflowAuctions.com and FreeflowSourcing.com, leverage the power of the Internet and combine it with business services to proactively manage slow-moving, aging or obsolete inventories. Freeflow's offering helps customers implement operational processes, maximize asset recovery and profitability, increase inventory cycle turns while avoiding channel conflict, and reduce overall reverse logistics costs.
