Del Mar Database Adds John Button as COO; Industry Veteran Focuses Technology Expertise on Product Design, Customer Operations and Professional Services
SAN DIEGO --(Business Wire)-- April 11, 2005 -- Del Mar Database has appointed John Button as chief operations officer. In this role, he is responsible for all operational aspects of Del Mar Database's business, including product definition, customer operations, professional services and IT. Del Mar Database's flagship product, DataTrac(R), is a software solution that enables lenders to leverage their existing technology investment to reduce costs, generate greater profits per loan, minimize errors using business intelligence and fund more loans with fewer people.
In his more than 25 years of experience, Button has held numerous leadership positions within technology companies. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of Business Initiatives for IPS-Sendero, where he managed the integration of RF/Spectrum Decision Science Corporation's business into IPS-Sendero's operations, completed multiple product releases, developed product line business plans, and managed due diligence of potential acquisitions. Previously, he served as business unit president of RF/Spectrum, where he managed the company through acquisition from a privately-held business to Fiserv ownership. At RF/Spectrum, Button directed product development, customer support and data management services teams, delivered multiple major product upgrades, revised product training and implemented improved customer support infrastructure.
Button has also served as a founding partner for a management consulting firm, Business Improvement Specialties, as part of the quality and re-engineering team for IBM Marketing and Services, as a sales manager at IBM, as an engineering manager in the IBM General Technology Group and as systems engineer for the United States Naval Air Development Center.
