Wireless Pioneer Robert McNamara Joins 5G Wireless as Technology Consultant

The addition of Dr. McNamara will further strengthen 5G Wireless' technology resources and help the company accelerate in attaining its goal of being a leader in the broadband wireless campus market.


Dr. McNamara offers 25 years of technology and executive leadership in the development and marketing of communications products, and has founded several companies, including a technology licensing partnership, a medical devices company and a consulting firm. Dr. McNamara also holds over 20 domestic and foreign patents over a broad range of scientific disciplines since receiving his Ph.D. in Applied Physics at the California Institute of Technology.

Dr. McNamara's previous employment experience includes technical positions at GTE, Bell Labs, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, and General Dynamics. Dr. McNamara's expertise lies in wireless LAN and MAN architecture and protocols; local access engineering; fiber optics and wideband switching systems; cellular radio systems and microwave engineering; video on demand; and digital telephony and Voice over IP systems.
